pronounced mahhh-lee-ay, is Hawaiian, meaning calm, quiet, living slowly. Our name reflects our commitment to mindful living and harmonizing with nature. Our products are all earth-minded, sustainable, ethically crafted, and designed to last. This is reflected in our selection of eco-friendly fabrics to mindful production in small batches to our decision to use recyclable and home compostable packaging.
Hawaii is our heart’s home and it is our goal to spread Aloha, or love, worldwide by donating a portion of Mālie’s proceeds to various nonprofits in support of women, disaster relief efforts, protecting our oceans, medical research, local communities, and the next generation.

The Founder
Christine Cole
Growing up in Florida and Hawaii, I have spent most of my life in and around the water, always in a bikini. As far back as I can remember, the water has been a place for me to slow down, wash away the busyness life brings, and to recenter. Some of my happiest memories have been spending time in the water with my family and friends. Being a surfer and living an active lifestyle has given me years of insight into garment longevity, fabrics, style, fit, and coverage to design and create comfy, functional swimwear.
My wish is for every woman who shops Mālie to find a style that fits comfortably and she feels confident wearing – while surfing, swimming, sunning, or away from the water dancing, lounging, or grabbing a coffee.
